Bio: As we approach the 19th annual Wake ‘N Shake on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, I invite you to join me in making a difference. Should you feel moved to contribute, you can do so through this page. Donations support the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund. This funding has been instrumental in propelling groundbreaking initiatives, including the development of a new therapeutic drug to increase the survival of pancreatic cancer patients and the purchase of nanoparticle generation and detection equipment. The fund has also supported the Hispanic Patient Navigator position, improving patient access to care and increasing clinical trial participation and racial health equity. We’ve been able to make direct impacts right here in Winston-Salem as these funds save patient lives and help support their families at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to a future where the impact of cancer is only a distant memory. Thank you so much for supporting this cause that means so much to me.
