Bio: I’m raising money for Wake n Shake, one of Wake Forest’s most meaningful traditions and one that is deeply personal to me. Cancer is not something I know only from statistics or headlines. It has touched my family in ways that changed us forever, and it has touched me personally. I was diagnosed with melanoma, and that experience reshaped how I see time, health, and the incredible gift of simply being here. Wake n Shake is about more than staying on your feet for a night. It is about standing up for the people who are fighting every single day. It is about honoring those who have battled before us, those who are still in treatment, and the families who walk beside them through fear, hope, and uncertainty. It is about turning community into action and compassion into something tangible. Every dollar raised helps support cancer research that saves lives, advances treatment, and gives families more time together, time that means everything when you are waiting for test results, treatment plans, and answers. I am so grateful to be able to use my voice and my story to be part of something bigger than myself. If you are able to give, please know that your support truly matters.
